I think it would be cool to put art work in the novel. Maybe like 1 picture before each chapter of something in that chapter. I could do some of it, and we could have a bunch of different pics from different artists. For example, a pic of Crono pearing around a corner in the jail after he busts out, a pic of Magus' castle, a pic of that flying ship at Zeal, a pic of the black omen hovering over a dark horizon at sun set, a pic of the heros squaring off against that t-rex thing, a pic...

Chrono Trigger DS

As many have already seen, the new Nintendo DS release of Chrono Trigger contains several differences in names, dialogue, and even locations from the original SNES and PSX versions. Most of these changes seem to be in keeping the game more accurate with the original Japanese version and otherwise fixing translation mistakes.

Crono and the Rat

I'd like to explore the meaning behind the rat "statue" that appears in Arris Dome going to and from the food supply room. Is it simply a concoction of the futuristic world as a means of password protection, or is there something more to it?

Crono's ressurection? In the game, you needed to get a clone from Norstein Bekkler. But in the novel, it's be pretty silly to get a clone after Crono's been vaporised. Or is the whole clone ordeal going to be left out, and the team is just gonna pull crono out of harms way?

Not to sound pessimistic, but what if Square refuses?

Sealed Doors, Past and Future, and the Mammon Machine

In Zeal, there is a door that can only be opened once you charge Marle's pendant with energy from the Mammon Machine. I'm sure we all recall this. After you charge the pendant, Sealed Doors in various Domes in 2300 can be opened.

We all know how Gaspar got to the End of Time, and, as far as the game shows us, he arrived completely alone to an area that seemed to exist (even when time no longer did) just for him. But, we also know that, by the time Crono and gang show up, Gaspar is not alone. He is there with Spekkio, the Master of War (almost like a Jedi Master of sorts).

Spekkio's presence is akin to how we felt about Obi Wan Kenobi in "A New Hope," before "Revenge of the Sith"...

Being that the subject doesn't come off as all that deep, I doubt this will be an extremely involved topic. Of course, I've been surprised before.

Anyway, I'm interested in everyone's perceptions of the little white creature that you find in Enhasa that asks you if you believe in fate. This is the one that looks like the Poyozo doll from the fair and the little creatures on Death Peak. But what is it in Zeal?

I'm curious if, in your opinions, this particular NPC should remain...

Black Omen Suspended Characters

I'm not 100% about this (seeing as I only noticed it after I got past the point of where I could check again) but I believe Toma's grave states he died in 634 AD, whether you've obtained the Rainbow Shell or not. I know it says that date AFTER you've obtained the Shell, but I think it might say that date before as well, which would bring us to an anomally: Toma doesn't die in the Claw. I have, but I think its important to have a reminder to keep people contributing pratically to the future of the novel as well as ideas for its creation.
