Yeah, it's essentially been confirmed. Wait for July 7th--Square seems to be promoting this date, so I expect some more information to be released by then. This is a definite sign that Square still has some faith in the series. I mean holy !*@!, we've been waiting for a Gameboy port for ages--and now it's just around the corner. And on top of that they'll be adding features, what a gem.

I hope every Chrono fan purchases the game, even if they don't own a DS.

If anything, we should give SE our support, even if we don't actually plan on replaying the game. If it makes some decent profits, we may have a sequel planned out for us for the future.

I don't know what I've been waiting for all this time, as I still didn't have a DS. Lots of games I've been meaning to play. But when Chrono Trigger was announced for it, that was the final push I needed to make up my mind once and for all. I went out and bought one. Now to wait for ...December, is it? I'll be right there at the store the moment it opens to pick up my copy of CT.

I my self will do all I can, even if I just by a DS title and never play it. IF we are ever to get a sequel to Chrono Trigger then this release will most likely be a very big determining factor.

Look out for the new dungeons--these additions are definitely going to be worth your while. There are a couple videos of 'em on Youtube, in case you need to see to believe.

I'd love to play Chrono Trigger again, but not for another $40.00. I spent $80 on the original SNES cartridge, $40 or $50 on the PSX version, something like $12.95 for the ORIGINAL SNES "complete player's guide," and about $30 for the OST(the original one, not that BS psx soundtrack with like 15 tracks). That's about $150 already. Then consider buying a DS, that'll cost me at least another $50, and the game itself is $40. I dunno about the rest of you, but I don't need to invest almost $250 on a single game, no matter how damn good it is. MAYBE if I already had a DS, but that's a stretch. And I haven't seen anything else for the DS that appealed to me at all, so I have no reason to buy one.

Besides, I can play Chrono Trigger whenever and wherever already. I would like to see the new translation, but I'm sure there'll be a rom patch soon enough.

Heh, lots of good patches are in the work--but I'd still suggest buying the DS game...out of sympathy to Square, if anything. Whatever though, you're one of the more dedicated fans man.

Well, to be honest, I don't think Square is deserving of my sympathy at this point. They've made nothing but crap or mediocre games at best ever since the merger. Well, I can't really say that since I haven't tried everything they've done since the merger. However, I do know that everything I have tried was impressive one bit. They had plans to make another Chrono game, and they just trashed them or threw them into the "rainy day" bin. Either way, they are nowhere as good as they were in the 90s. I wish they would make another Tobal. I wish they would make Musashi sequel that doesn't suck and doesn't play like a crappy mod of the original. I wish they would give us another Chrono game and tie up all the loose ends. Only if and when they do any of these things will I consider buying something from them again.
