Well anyway, on another note, what's the story with you and Pirates, Corsair? I thought you didn't like Disney. Or is it only limited to animated ones like Mickey and Goofy?

Nah, I've played DDR and a bit of Elite Beat Agents, but not GH.

I don't know, I've never really been that excited about rhythm games. As my brother once observed, they seem to have a steep learning curve, so you can really only get into it if you stick with it. And I've only ever attempted them when at a friend's house or trying a demo at EB, so I guess the blame lies with my lack of exposure to the genre.
Although I will say this, EBA wasn't nearly as hard to follow as DDR, and so I found it more enjoyable.

Guitar Hero isn't that bad. The easy difficulty levels are not hard to master at all. Plus unlike EBA or DDR you are playing (mostly) famous songs that you may not love but you probably have heard before. I find that Guitar Hero is easier for me than DDR.

It seems to me that the real key to mastering these kinds of games is to follow the music itself rather than the onscreen prompters, otherwise you'll fall out of rhythm.

So far they've created games that focus on dancing, guitars, and bongos. Makes me wonder if whether we'll ever see a GH-style game where the instrument of play is a trumpet-replica.

That'd be interesting, since the trumpet was my instrument of choice during middle school.

Not really with Guitar Hero becuase the rythmn of song doesn't nessecarily match the flow of the buttons that need to be pressed.

Well then, for that matter, I did rather enjoy Spider Man 3. I was a bit disappointed to see Spidey's best friend get killed, and the state of his relationship with MJ seemed a bit unresolved. Other than that, lots of action, great villains, and a great cast to match. This is a fairly unusual series in which I actually liked the first one the least and probably the 3rd one the most.
