I agree with the doors coming from Belthasar, theory. I think we can over think this, and then what? All things do not need to be explained, in full detail, They just have to have been possible. Its not like every door we come to is that type of sealed door. I think if the inhabitant them selves knew how to make them, Mother Brain would have at least used them more effectively, if not the rest of the inhabitants, (of that time).

Besides Belthasar did not need a Pendant to put the wings behind the door. Or to use it. (I know others brought up, the fact that, its Lavos energy).

Okay I screwed up my first post, and lost it. First I want to say thanks Corsair5 for bringing up the obvious.

Now I want to say as I thought about it I realized that the Mammon Machine, which leached Lovas energy, only replaced the Sun stone that used to be the source of power in Zeal. Concerning the pendant, all the Mammon Machine did was re-power it. Any thing, (for all we know), with significant enough power could have done that. So its the pendant that was important. While it was how Schala opened the doors it was not the only way, how others opened them? we can only speculate.

More to support this obvious realization is that: the Masamune is never used to open the sealed chests or the sealed doors that are of Zeal tech; moreover, this also rules out the Red Rock, being the sole reason. What I mean is that we know, (from the example of the Masamune), its not enough for power charged Red Rock to open the doors or chests. What exactly is required? is an enigma.

So in short I still believe, (and see no evidence to the contrary), that Belthasar had a major hand, (if not the only hand), in the creation of the doors in 2300.

Edit: Changed the spelling of "Balthasar" to "Belthasar", I am horrible with spelling but I had noticed the two different spellings being used and found that " Belthasar" seemed like the correct variant, of spelling.

We know other people besides Schala could open doors. How else did the rest of Zeal open them? I can not believe that Schala hung out with every one that needed to open a sealed door. Besides even if she did, (very very unlikely), that never explains how Belthasar was using them.

We know other people can open doors. How? We can only speculate! However the only way Crono and the gang could open them, is obviously, the pendant. My guess is that people of high importance each had their own unique key of sorts to open the door.

The big question is: Why would the pendant open doors Belthasar created? That is so tricky it could go on forever! After all, Belthasar created the time machine. In theory, its possible that Belthasar created the whole elaborate scheme, from the beginning. He may have even had something to do with Lucca's invention. If that is the case, then he triggered all the events. After all, events played out the way they did for a reason! For things to turn out the way they did, something had to change so that the flow of time would break, and change things, so that Marle would be thrown back into time etc etc.

Any way as you can see if you go to far then the worm whole opens. But that is why CT is so awesome ^_^ hehe!! The endless possibilities, that is the whole point right?

And if my memory serves me well, (and it should when talking about Chrono Trigger), the room that door leads to is full of people. Of course treading these waters is still all speculation but there were no indications given, (with what we are given), that they needed special permission, (out side their already privileged lives), to go into that room.



Or was there? I certainly can not think of any.
