Even if you don't own it, buy it then sell it on ebay or amazon just so there are higher sales numbers.

Bought it. It was worth every freakin' penny I spent. The game is glorious as always and the extras only add more shine to it. I love the little poster included with it as well, I'm gonna have to put it up one of these days. Very fun game, I'm still playing it so I haven't gotten the new ending but I am loving it. I'm currently at "Dream's End.", right before the huge Lavos fight.

Personally, I don't care to help boost Square-Enix's sales numbers, even if it is for Chrono Trigger. I've expressed myself about this before, but I really don't have faith in the company to make a sequel that's worthy of having the word Chrono in its name. Everything they've made since the merger that I've played was horrible or mediocre at best. They ruined the Musashi sequel. They made a fullmetal alchemist game, and it was nothing special. Kingdom Hearts was a button mashing fest, Kingdom Hearts 2 was exactly the same but slightly harder... My girlfriend beat it in less than a week. They've avoided a sequel to Chrono Cross for years now. There were even plans to make one, but it all fell thru. Now they release the original for the 3rd time. I already have it in many forms. I don't have money for another version. I wouldn't be able to play it if I even had the money because I have no DS, and I refuse to buy a DS or any system for just one game. No other game on the system has intrigued me at all, so this would all just be a big waste of time. I hope they release a sequel that doesn't suck, but to me, the chances don't seem very high. I'd rather see the series die with Chrono Cross than get another mediocre/crappy game with the word CHRONO slapped onto it from what is no longer the great gaming company it once was.

For me personally, it wasn't so much to help SE's sales as it was to own the game. I owned the original a long time ago but I lost it and I never owned a PS so I never played that re-release. It's not all about just owning the game since the extras it comes with are well worthwhile. As far as SE still being able to deliver... I don't know much about that myself, but some of the game's the company has released lately haven't particularly gotten my attention.

I actually bought mine for the sole express reason of owning Chrono Trigger on it, although I've seen that it does have some games I like.

I've actually been planning on buying a DSI just so I can get the new CT. I loved that game when I was a kid but I lost my copy of it about a year ago and I've been wanting to play it again just for nostalgia ever since. And as far as all the little changes go, as long as those sweet Dragon Ball Z cut scenes are in still in there I'll be happy.
